Main provisions

The International Exhibition “"The Last Frontier: Protecting Earth's Glaciers" ” will take place in the alongside the First High-Level International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation.

Dates: 29-31 May 2025
Venue: Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan, State complex “Kokhi Somon”

Objectives

The main objectives of the International Exhibition "The Last Frontier: Protecting Earth's Glaciers" within The High-Level International Conference on Glaciers' Preservation in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, include the following:

1. Raising Awareness of Glacier Decline

           Educate global audiences about the ongoing retreat of glaciers due to climate change, and the ecological, social, and economic impacts of glacier loss.

2. Showcasing Scientific Research

           Highlight the latest scientific findings and research on glacier monitoring, preservation efforts, and the crucial role glaciers play in regulating freshwater resources, biodiversity, and global climate patterns.

3. Promoting Global Collaboration

           Foster international cooperation between governments, scientists, environmental organizations, and local communities to develop and implement effective strategies for glacier conservation, restoration, and management.

4. Engaging the Public and Younger Generations

           Inspire action from the general public and youth by showcasing interactive exhibits, art, and educational materials that emphasize the beauty, significance, and fragility of glaciers, encouraging individuals to participate in global conservation efforts.

5. Exploring Innovative Technologies and Solutions

           Present cutting-edge technologies and solutions being developed or implemented to monitor and preserve glaciers, such as remote sensing, drone technology, and glacier engineering techniques.

Potential participants

The exhibition will bring together a wide range of participants, including international and regional organizations, financial institutions, government ministries and departments, local authorities, non-governmental organizations, private companies, academic and research institutions, and various other stakeholders. 

Terms of provision of exhibition stands

Standard exhibition stands will be available for rent to the interested parties at a cost of 25 USD per 1 m2.

Specification of provided exhibition stands

There are three types of standard exhibition booths: Type A with an area of 9m2 (3x3), Type B with an area of 8 m2 (4x2) and Type C – with an area of 10m2 (5х2). Set of a standard exhibition booth includes (for all types):

§  booth;

§  table – 1 unit;

§  chair – 2 units;

§  spot-lamp – 4 units;

§  electric socket – 1 unit;

§  wastebasket – 1 unit

Schemes of stands are attached (Appendix 1).

Registration

Exhibitors shall fill in the registration form for participation at the exhibition and submit it to the Conference Secretariat before 1 April 2025. The Secretariat notifies the Exhibitor on acceptance of the application within 5 days after the submission.

Placement of exhibition stands

Stands will be placed at the exhibition pavilion with regard to their configuration and exhibited materials. The Conference Secretariat will inform exhibitors about the location of their stand by 19 May 2024.

Requirements for placement and removal of exhibits

Exhibitors should set their exhibits (decorate stands) before 28 May 2025. Removal of exhibits is permitted only after 31 May 2025 (after the Conference).

Responsibility

Exhibitors should take care of their exhibits and minimize the risk of damage and deterioration of the exhibits. Conference Secretariat is not responsible for spoilage, damage and other defects, caused by the exhibitors.

Other matters

Exhibitors provide the Secretariat with the text that should be placed on the apron of the stand. Inscriptions on the stands (Name Plate) are performed by the Secretariat free of charge.

If necessary, Conference Secretariat can provide exhibitors with the additional equipment. Cost and provision procedure can be discussed additionally.
